About the recipe
Cauliflower and broccoli mash is a side that I make incredibly often. It works for the most part really.
Above all, I like it for sausages, or for fish.
If you just want to make either cauliflower or broccoli, it works. I think it will be a nice mix of the two.
If you aren't too careful on carbs, you can toss in a small piece of parsnip with it, it gives a really nice taste.
Ingredients
Instructions
Cut the cauliflower and broccoli into reasonably large pieces. Keep in mind that the cooking time is a little longer on the cauliflower, so feel free to cut it into slightly smaller pieces.
Put in a saucepan and fill with water.
Bring to the boil and cook until the vegetables are tender.
Pour off the water.
Add the butter and mix with either a hand mixer or in a food processor.
The longer you mix, the smoother it gets.
Add the sour cream, a few drops of lemon and taste with herbal salt and pepper. Mix a little more.
Then serve!
